log 001
Hello World
The station opens its eyes on a world that never turns away.
Mercury does not keep our kind of time. A day here outlasts a year, and the line between scorch and freeze is a few hundred meters wide. You learn to think in that seam.
The first frame came down at 09:14 station time. No fanfare — a slow scroll of grey across the monitor, crater on crater, the terminator cutting the disc almost exactly in half.
Everything worth looking at is mostly empty. The trick is deciding what little you let into the frame.
That is as close to a mission statement as this log is going to get.
Nothing scheduled. When there is something to say, it appears here.
